My self-imposed live comedy hiatus is ending this weekend. I took some time off to focus on some other projects, but I'm coming back to the UCB Franklin stage Saturday night for Sketch Cram. Its a really fun, full sketch show that more or less gets thrown together in a day. Any thing can and often does happen given the circumstances and it makes for a fun night out.
Just remember: I haven't performed in a while so I might be AMAZING.

Great news: another song about another mall is on the way...
Stay tuned.
I love teaching people about history. Especially if I can present it in a fun way. With that in mind, I made Today's History, a little history lesson based on something significant from the calendar day's history. Oh, and I also do it as Baby Joker.
Ideally I'd like to make these daily, but until I figure out how to streamline the process they bay be sporadic for the time being. In any event, learn something about The Battle Of Los Angeles, fool.
Our silly Glendale Galleria Copacabana video is back in the news thanks to the LAist's A Beginner's Guide To Glendale! While we are the least legitimate part of this real article, I'm flattered the writer enjoyed our video enough to include it:
Single Ladies, check out Mark Schultz's profile on my new video dating app CLIPS.
Our video about the Glendale Galleria (Copacabana) was on Curbed LA!
This incredibly important video I made with my pals Allegra Ringo and Tom Bensinger got some great circulation online racking up over 8K Facebook views in 4 days. Then, somehow Curbed LA not only found it, but wrote this nice piece about how silly/ fun it is.
If you haven't watched it yet, and need something to get stuck in your head for the rest of your life, give it a look.
Thanks Curbed LA!
I was this week's guest on The BRO.C podcast; a very fun podcast about the early 2000s teen drama The OC.
I gush about loving teen dramas, high school, and kissing compact dogs (pugs!).
WHY NOT?

Father, Magician, and Realtor Tom Dunn, creator of the "Dunn-Deal."
Magic Dad made an appearance over the weekend at The Scramble's wonderfully entertaining Sunday matinee show. There were a lot of great acts, a lot of laughs, and a lot of roomy denim.
"If you need to buy or sell a home, ask for Tom Dunn, and it's a Dunn-Deal!"
After clearing my chakra, I've returned my breath and intention to Fake Yoga, my instagram account that is me doing, well, fake yoga.
"Truth is the most common pattern found in nature. Seek to replicate it at every turn. If you can. Like, don't stress about it if you miss one. Life is already hard enough. Just like, try to replicate it if you have the time, okay?"
The online yoga community, for as silly as this is, has been very supportive and seem to all get the joke. I guess one of the benefits of yoga beyond a peaceful body is a sense of humor? "Namaste. Namaste, I'll be here all night."
Keep an eye on Fake Yoga as I continue to practice real yoga in hopes of making my fake poses better.
Second day of Conan shooting last week, and I have mastered my thumbs up pose.
Remember to watch Comic Con week!
I went into Conan again to tape a new very silly bit for the show. Not sure the exact dates, but be sure to tune in to the Conan O'Brien program around Comic-Con.
I will never grow tired of working on this show. It's always so much fun.
Just look what happened this weekend...
"Comedians" ruin local news. This and more at 11."
My pal Phillip showed me around LA's channel 7 news room and I completely lost my mind. I've been on TV, movies, hung out with famous people and all that, but to be at a local news desk was a whole new world all together.
Maybe the most I've ever giggled in my life (this is the face of me completely loosing it).
I mean they let me do the weather thing! I was pointing at the map and doing the forecast (though horribly since I couldn't stop giggling).
I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's because of the intimacy of the local news. You let them into your home and you trust them to tell you what's going on. You barely trust actors to entertain you, but some body tells you if you need a jacket tomorrow and you're all ears. And suddenly (though cameras weren't rolling) that guy was ME!
I never saw myself as a news anchor, until I saw these photos of me being a news anchor.
"Moore at 11!"
Good news, I've made the final for the Montreal Just For Laughs New Faces character showcase.
"What's up you guys? It's your mate Rick!"
This is going to be a hot show complete with an appearance by Your Mate Rick, and a couple other new favorite bits.
If you're free on Wednesday, April 27th at 5pm, please come down to UCB Franklin and watch me in action.
My old UCB Maude team filmed this sketch a while back and it just went online. Enjoy my three day old mustache and northern accent! Watch HERE.
That yellow thing is the book...
So Robert and I wrapped our final day of recording our audio book version of Adult Stuff for audible.com and my god, it was so much fun.
Finally able to record in a room big enough for my head.
Matt Moore, enjoying life to the MAX.
I think you guys are really going to enjoy this book. Even though we've been working on it for what feels like an eternity, Robert and I still manage to laugh at a lot of the jokes which I think is a good sign. In any event, this whole process was a new, challenging, and exciting experience that I'll cherish. And, I mean, we got paid to hang out in this ballin' studio and goof off on a microphone today which is pretty cool.
Look for the Adult Stuff audio book on audible.com and on bookshelves April 5th!
Better believe we played with this microphone thing...
